Recent Styling Work: Country Living

CLDec13_1

I had the pleasure of styling the home of my friend, Serena Thompson, for this months issue of Country LIving. Plenty of natural elements, traditional red and green plaids, and a little whimsy were thrown in for good measure. And just so you know…the cake in the photo below was Delicious! Seriously yummy. We almost never eat props, but this was an exception!

I’ve read Serena’s blog for many years now and love her style. It was so fun to see her home in Country Living and I loved that it was Styled by you! Two talented ladies for sure!

It was a wonderful spread, Heather! I bet she had fun stuff to work with. I bet that makes it a lot easier.

Hi Heather, I just love those darling little deer on the table! Your decor is so pretty. The rustic, simple and elegant decor is my favorite.

    Hi Heather,
I love your styling work and especially this piece with Serena Thompson. I’ve been researching online about how to become a stylist and I haven’t found too much information but I did stumble across this article which was very informative: stylebyemilyhenderson.com/blog/how-to-become-a-prop-stylist. She also had a post about…”the day in the life of a stylist.” I found both articles to be very informative but I wondered if you would post something about how you became a stylist and “a day in your life as a stylist.” I’m very interested and have always loved Country Living magazine and your style is one I relate to and admire. Just an idea!! Have a great weekend!
