Daffodils
You've got to love a simple, inexpensive flower that can look spectacular in less than 24 hours! I picked up 4 bundles of daffodils at the grocery on Saturday and by Sunday morning brunch they looked amazing. To me, their sunshiney color is the welcome flag for Spring!
What's your favorite Spring flower?

Mine is a Daffodil also! Just brightens any room, goes with gold or silver in any interior I have designed (or not!). I call it the Happy Flower! Thanks for brightening my day!
xoxo
awww I can smell them already!
Happy Spring & cheers for Summer time soon to both you wonderful girls!;)♥
HI Heather! I love this…we have 3 Daffodils in our front flower box and I was giddy delight. I stared at them knowing they won’t visit for long…but oh are they delightful for the short visit!
Blessings,
Debbie
I think I love just about every flower so that is a hard question to answer! I do love tulips though they shout Spring to me 🙂
I absolutely LOVE ranunculus when they’re still round and just opening. My overall fave has to be peonies, though, especially white and soft pink!
My VERY favorite spring flowers are Forget Me Nots. I adore the pretty blue colored blooms.
I love white allyssum and fat orange tulips.
Love the yellow brightness of daffodils, always cheers me on these final RAINY days of winter! Hang in there…just a few more days…

Tulips are one of my favorites…but this time of year daffodils do give that added pop. I find all your photos so inspiring.
I love tulips! And right now in Oklahoma the Forsythia is blooming and I love to cut branches and bring them in!
I just LOVE lilacs. They smell so divine!
I am a lilac girl – I love the smell of them and tend to FILL the house with them in the spring! Sadly the season is so darn short!
xx
Thank you for the calm beautiful place I can come to and *sigh* you blog is a blissful getaway that I enjoy time and time again!
I love lilacs and peonies (LOVE peonies)–and the sight of the flowing plum trees on my street makes me giddy–but nothing beats the elegant beauty of a bunch of white tulips in a vase or white ironstone pitcher! Seriously though, by the time spring starts arriving I love anything that blooms.
Anything that blooms!
Actually, Daffodils! It’s the first sign off spring, for me, with that vibrant yellow filling yards! 🙂
Tulips and daffodils, definitely.
I love tulips because of their wonderful colors, but I have to agree that daffodils is more “spring” to me too.
Mmm….my favorite Spring floral scent…is hyacinth!

oh most definitely daffodils, have some in a pot with a lemon tree – makes me so happy to see the first one bloom!
I like to force the forsythia in my garden. although I do love to pick up daffodils at the store too. They make me smile. Here in the frozen tundra it is wonderful to see such a cheery color. Daffodils seem to say, hello, look at me!
Do blossoms on fruit tree count? Love to cut a couple of branches and stick in a vase… This time of year at Filoli {by SF} the daffodils are amazing.
Daffodils are divine, but grape hyacinth and lily of the valley are my true loves, reminding me of my grandmother and mother as they do. Happy Spring, Heather and thanks for all the beauty!
Beautiful daffodils. Yellow flowers are on my post today too.
Spring is in the air.
Blessings,
Marcia

Hi Heather,
I would have to say at this time of year it is a toss up between Daffodils and Tulips. I have yellow and pink Tulips blooming today in my garden and was so thrilled to see them . . .but I was equally thrilled to see my happy yellow Daffodils blooming in pots.
Your blog is lovely and your photographs are fabulous.
Blessings,
Erin
I have never met a spring flowering bulb I didn’t like. I did learn not to stick my nose in the fritillaria – nasty! After a long winter, I love seeing the phases of the garden waking – crocus, then mini iris, anenome, daffs, tulips, then the lilacs. My all time favorites though are the Johnny Jump-ups and Pansies.
Stunning…but I am afraid tulips are my favorite, white to be exact, just love them! All the best, enjoy your week! Chrissy
Oh how I agree with you. Florence
Definitely rich blue Grape Hyacinths (Muscari) sitting side by side with Daffodils. The contrast is so striking and crisp. I love how small and divinely fragrant Muscari is, because they make great mini bouquets in tiny containers for the bedside.
On another note, the Souvenir newsletter is beautiful and inspiring. Thank you so much for all your hard work!
I absolutely love hyacinths and their fragrant scent that fills the room with a breath of spring freshness! A close second has to be lily of the valley…they are so delicate and fragrant!
So pretty 🙂
Nobody knows what I mean when I say Buttercups…but these are them LOL.
Everyone down here says it.
I love Hyacinths!
Wow, they really did come up by brunchtime. Flowers are perfect to make that table at home setting a real work of art! Great for your family or guests alike.
Ohhh I love them all, but I guess I would say lilacs. My all time favorite flower (late spring?) are Iris. Unfortunately, none of these grow in Fl. I’m looking at almost dead tulips (8 days) from the grocery store. Can anyone tell me why they only opened partially, and then closed up again????
Lilacs ~ but I must be patient for a few more months! Your flowers are lovely!
I love daffodils because you just can’t be unhappy around them. However, my all-time favorite Spring flower is the peony. Love at first sight when I saw them at a florist in my hometown of Honolulu and was amazed at those voluptuous beauties.
they are lovely! nothing like that bright yellow to cheer things up! my favorite is peonies they are just so lovely. i can’t wait til mine come up it’ll still be awhile here. enjoy the weekend! susan
I would have to say I love lilacs but I just love all flowers… yours are lovely. Dont you just love when they open and become so sunshine yellow? Love the pictures, thank you for sharing.
Have a wonderful weekend,

Hi Heather,
We have had a very severe winter here in the east and the snow has finally melted to reveal my favorite first blooming flower of Spring…snowdrops!! Being a florist I love to go out and cut a small bouquet of them and put them in a tiny vase! …charming and delightful!!
Pretty
Love your blog

We have a local bulb farm nearby with many beautiful varities of daffodils followed by tulips and we visit often. I also love hyacinth and lilacs. Actually I can’t think of a spring flower that doesn’t make me happy to look at…
I’m just a fan of any Spring flower that I can cut and display inside. Daffodils bring the most giddiness because they are the first colorful blossom popping up in the Spring. Just talking about flowers has me smiling!
Heather, I just did a post on daffs if you get a minute it would be awesome if you could drop by…and by the way my daughter’s married name is Bullard so I had to follow you ….but you are one of my must reads regardless of the name!!
This is a hard one, but I just love Gardenias. 🙂
My favorite flowers are camelie…
Love your new blog look!! 😉 Hoping you get a Facebook soon so i can keep up with your goodness, I neglect Twitter too much.

Daffodils and tulips are my all-time favorite for spring. Summer favorites are geraniums and hydrangeas.
So gorgeous!
Love the beautiful bright yellow of daffodils!! And I just want you to know how much I enjoy your blog! It is such a refreshing ray of sunshine in my day! And I LOVE The Souvenir! Thanks so much for all the time you put into it,definately is well worth it!
Growing up my favorite color was yellow…I’ve just returned to yellow. More yellow! I love that my birthday is in March, when it seems God naturally painted the landscape with yellows…daffodils! Last year for my birthday my sis-in-law gave me 50+ daffodils! They filled every vase in our house!
Gosh I love how yellow just perks everything right up! Forsythia is my favorite 🙂
My new love is our crabapple tree. The blooms are a gorgeous shade of pink, and the smell is heavenly!
Tulips for sure! I love their simplicity and fresh color. I think I’m going to pick-up some for myself today!
Ditto….love them too
