Heather Bullard | Lifestyle Citrus Arranging

Hi there friends. It’s been a while. Life has been keeping me extra busy lately. We’ve officially finished Grove House, although there are still a ton of things that need to be done. I’ll continue to show our progress and happenings…we still don’t have internet at the property, which explains the lack of posts. Although I certainly don’t assume you’re sitting around wondering what I’m doing. πŸ˜‰ But it’s nice to reconnect here.

We’ve had 5 birthdays in May, along with Mother’s Day (hope yours was a treat!) and that always makes for an exciting month!
I just got back from styling two homes in Phoenix for HGTV Magazine. Can’t wait till those come out…think fun color, great diy ideas, and creative small space living.
My house is filled with boxes, because I sold nearly all of our furniture and have no where to put stuff. Clearly, I didn’t think it through.
I bought a giant mirror made from a wheel off an antique camel cart. Will definitely show you! The Man is making brackets to hang it today. We’ve had lots of laughs about the camel dung stuck in the grooves. Kind of gross now that I think about it.
Oh, and I went back to school to become a Certified Master Food Preserver at the University of California…and graduated. Now, making jams is my jam! (And pickles.) I seriously can not wait to share my new hobby with you!

I’ve really missed our visits here and hope to be back to normal posts very soon.
Instagram has been my main source of social media, since I can do that on my phone. I’ve shared some sneak peaks of the interior of the house, if you’d like to see you can find me under the username: heatherbullard.

Thank you, Karen. It’s nice to hear from you! We’re slowly working on unpacking and all the details that will go into making Grove House…a home.
      Have a beautiful day. ~H

I, for one, have missed your posts! I love seeing updates on Grove House as I just adore your sense of style and like getting ideas for my own (future) place. I’m really looking forward to seeing more.

    • Heather Bullard

Thanks, Kaitlyn! I’ll try to share more of our process and design decisions. I also read blogs to get ideas while building…so inspiring to see how others do it!

So happy to see that beautiful photo this morning. Can’t wait to see more of Grove House, furniture or no furniture!

    • Heather Bullard

Ha! Thanks! And that’s exactly how it looks right now…furniture and no furniture. πŸ˜‰ Appreciate you taking time to comment and say hello!

  4. Shannon

    • Heather Bullard

I too have missed your blog posts! Instagram is nice, but it’s not the same! Can’t wait to see what you are doing decorating-wise now that you are in Grove House. Welcome back!

    • Heather Bullard

So true. I adore IG because it’s quick and easy but it’s also hard to post a lot of pics and write detailed descriptions & happenings. I guess there’s still nothing quite like a real blog post. Will be sharing more soon! πŸ™‚

So happy to see a post from you! I join the crowd in anticipation of all that you’re doing these days. Isn’t the Certified Master Preserver a similar program to Master Gardener? I’ve done the MG program and you learn so much!! Best wishes on getting settled!! I’ve been there so many times.

    • Heather Bullard

Yes, I believe UC also offers the Master Gardener certification. There were several students in my class that were MG’s. Not sure I’m going to go that route though. πŸ˜‰
Thanks for stopping by…be sure to keep cool. This heat is causing so many fires.

I’ve missed you updates! And was just sharing today how amazing your Grove House is…all inspiring. May is a doozy in our house too-kicks my tail every year, and then BOOM its June.
    Can’t wait to see more…xo

    Hi Heather,
Its bΓ©en awhile since my last visit, and all I can say is I am soooooo Looking forward to seeing your furnishings placed on those polished cement floors.
The mirrored wheel will look great with you beautiful ranch styled home!
As for you million and one things to complete I know that feeling well, when I built my last home before the small investment home I am in, it seemed to never end with all the finishing projects to wrap up.

    See you soon.
    Xx

I can’t wait to see your post on your new hobby. I make jam and jellies but want to make sweet pickles. They are just so yummy. I clearly didn’t make enough strawberry jam this year either. Love seeing your pictures on instagram. Katey
