It’s always so comforting to come home, no matter how spectacular the journey. I have lots to share with you about my visit to TN. It’s people are overflowing with kindness, and it’s mountains and rolling green hills will forever be etched in my memory. But today I must “put out fires”, tackle my inbox and attend to all those things that pile up while ones away.
I’ll be back soon with tales of biscuits, southern cooking, and Blackberry Farm.

    Welcome back!

We’ve been staying near Sweetwater TN for almost 2 months, but up in the mountains. Looks like that photo was from Knoxville.

Anywho, you’d mentioned Blackberry Farm. My fiance’s cousin suggested it to us as it was featured in a Foodie magazine…Are there things to do there besides classes? Is it a good place to walk around and have a delicious lunch? Have been thinking about going there for my birthday next week.

    Thanks.

      Hi Kiki,

Blackberry Farm is so beautiful…a great way to spend a birthday. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. Here’s a link to their site for more information: http://www.blackberryfarm.com

      Have fun and Happy Birthday!

    Hi Heather,
Welcome back. I can’t wait to hear and see photos from your trip. I’m from Tennessee and haven’t been back for a while and would love to hear about what it’s like now.
Hope you have a great week.
    Sincerely,
    Melinda

I live only about 15 minutes from this theater, and we visit it often for symphonies with students from the college where my husband teaches.
I have to tell you, I was sorely disappointed that your visit coincided with our anniversary trip to Asheville, NC! I would have loved to show you our families’ farms and send you back with a bouquet of peonies!

    Love from the South,
    Amanda
