Bouchon Bakery

We’ve returned from our vacation and now begins the posts of some the highlights from our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed walking to Bouchon Bakery for a morning latte and sweet treat. The weather was incredibly gorgeous and the courtyard was the perfect spot to start the day. And I must say I adore their pistachio green and chocolate brown packaging….ADORE.

It was nice to be able to watch the baker doing his magic through the glass windows. Bouchon is rather known for their enormous macarons so of course, we had to try them. Below is Hazelnut, Pistachio and PB&J. You can see we tasted each for you. Our favorite was the Hazelnut…classic and delicious.

There were a few tourists mixed in with the locals who I imagine absolutely love having such a wonderful place right in their neighborhood. I know I would!

So what treat would you choose with all those delectable sweets right in front of you? Croissant, crumb cake, chocolate bouchon, macaron, eclair……

A lovely place to visit! And yes, I would love to have a sweet shop like this in our town. Unfortunately the economy has hit hard here, but even before that, our town of less than 3,000 would never support any shops similar to this that ‘hung out their shingle’. Too bad.
As for my choice of treats—I’ll take one of each!

Oh dear…If I had a bakery like that near me, I would be in BIG (emphasis on BIG!) trouble 🙂
Chocolate croissant please. I had one at the Venetian in Vegas, and I think I died right there on the spot. *sigh*
But what I REALLY want in the shop are those pulley light fixtures!! GORGEOUS!

Love! Just LOVE those French Macarones. I’m a Macarone-a-holic cause they make my day.

Absolutely one of my favorite spots! The bakery in the morning and a wonderful bistro dinner at the restaurant in the evening. Beautiful photos!

My favorite treat in the whole world is simply a really good latte, those treats looked delicious but the latte would have been my favorite part.

We just returned from Yountville as well! We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, and enjoyed Bouchon very VERY much! The courtyard is amazing and the people watching is Devine! We enjoyed many fabulous wineries, including Far Niente and Castle De Amorosa! My favorite event was Michael Chiarrelo visiting our table at Bottega and taking an anniversary photo with us! A Dream come true vacation!

The green and chocolate brown IS to die for. As for treats, let’s see… macaron, eclair, chocolate tart, almond croissant, sticky bun, bouchon, another macaron… and maybe a sparkling water to go. = )

I just saw the news about the fire…I drove by yesterday thinking I should get a chocolate croissant but didn’t…sad, sad news! Hope Bouchon Bakery is up on their feet serving their wonderful treats very soon!

Oh, this is so sad! But I’m really glad no one was hurt! I’m sure they’ll be up and running again very soon. Thank goodness for the quick response from the fire dept!
Thanks Shea Lynn, for letting us all know.
    Best, H
