Friday Five
Do you take a lot of photos with your cell phone? Most of mine are emailed to friends or associates but I noticed many of them are just something that caught my eye or to capture a memory. Here's my five favorites from this week!
1. Laguna Beach visit with The Man. We sat on a bench like an old married couple sipping coffee. After that we gathered driftwood for a mirror project.
2. Flower stand on the highway selling the most luscious bouquets. They had some beautiful bundles with all green flowers and gigantic sunflowers…divine.
3. Sprinkles cupcakes from the Newport Beach location. Red Velvet, Coconut, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and Vanilla. The vanilla is my favorite. 🙂
4. My prop house is getting a makeover! This is one of the glass shelves. I love all the bottles lined up like little soldiers waiting for their assignment.
5. My girls have been enjoying all the worms, bugs and new growth in the gardens. Those aren't weeds in the background…it's mint that's taken over the entire section! It's a pain in the you know what to get rid of and the chickens don't eat mint. Darn.
Well, that's my weekly highlights. How about you? Do you ever post your cell photos on your blog? I think I might do this again. It's been fun!

Love those photos! Especially the flowers (and, honestly, those cupcakes!) I haven’t ever posted my phone photos to my blog – what a fun idea for the end of the week. Thanks for sharing.
I post my cell phone pics on my blog ALL the time! It is so easy to just grab the phone and snap a shot! Love yours, specially those cupcakes!
I’m not that advanced in the “Tech” department….but my kids plan to teach me the next time we are together.
Just got a new phone that can do that kind of stuff….Happy Day….I think =)
Looks like you had a great day.
I need to take more photos with my phone too! Thanks Heather…kelley
I just told my hubby I want chickens……I could help you out with the mint, I love it. Actually I make tea with it………but sorry, I don’t eat bugs lol 🙂
Luv the photo of your chicks! I am looking foward to getting some for our garden also. Have a good Friday………TALLULAH’S
The photos have an interesting vintage cast, I might have to try this.
nope but I going to give it a try I do email pix I take from my phone great idea for spontaneous photos.
oops by the way I love your photos the beach,flowers-gorgeous,cupcakes-yummy,prop room boy aren’t you luck I need one of those and the chickens fab-my grandfather was a farmer in North Georgia and I got to feed the baby chicks with him it was a big deal to me(I was one of 24 cousins-my mom the oldest of nine children)so this was my special time with Grandpa. Did not eat chicken until I turned 22 just could not do it.
I take a lot of cell phone pictures if I feel intrusive bringing out my camera. Are you using the histamatic application? The beach and bottle pictures look like it. I downloaded it and just love how it make pictures look so retro!
Oh yeah…mint totally takes over a garden, best to plant it in a pot!
XO,
Jane
Your photos are LOVELY regardless if you took them with your phone or not! LOL We have a serious mint invasion too…so at the party I’m having on Sunday, I’m serving rasberry mojitos! 🙂
I haven’t yet. I never think they’re good enough but yours are great. I have a new IPhone so maybe I’ll practice some.
I love the girl’s photos. We had mint once and it took over the yard but I love the smell.
Have a good weekend.
You know,,I never really use my phone for pictures, but I like the one you posted! Can’t wait to see your driftwood project. 🙂 The last time I saw you was at Rose Bowl when you and the girls hosted that “meet up” So fun..I’m going this Sunday with my daughter for her 21st birthday. If I see you, I’ll be sure to say “hi” I know you’re busy, but if you have time, check out my recent post. You might remember Jenna from last year at Rose Bowl..she’s all grown up now! Wahhhhh…..just kidding 🙂
love the chickens and the beach, well and flowers and yeah…Like it all!

Great photos! I do take pics from my phone and use them on my blog. Now I want cupcakes. And those flowers, I wish we had a place around here that sold flowers like that, my house would be full all the time. Sorry about the mint. I keep my in a clay pot for that very reason.
I love these little slices of life you’ve shared with us!
H~ That was fun! A little bit of this and a little bit of that! Blessings my beautiful friend! Kimberly
Well, yes, I do take a lot of pictures with my phone. In fact, I tried yesterday to capture the beautiful clouds and sky we were having. Alas, it didn’t work so well. I was driving. :-/
Those cupcakes are always a hit. Went there with The Man and he said “Why the long line? What’s the big deal?”
Then he ate one and said “Oh, now I get it!”
Too funny!
Smiles,
H
Posting them was easy..you’re gonna love it! I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it in no time.
Smiles,

I used Retro Camera and the FX Camera apps. Love them both and it’s nice to change things up now and then.
I did plant the mint in a pot but sank the pot in the ground (just cut the bottom off). Obviously that was a dumb move on my part!
Luckily…that’s where my new studio is going so it’s all gonna be gone soon!
Best,
H
Raspberry Mojitos? Never heard of them but they sound very refreshing!
Cheers!
H
Just left her a birthday wish on your blog!
