NYC – Flea Marketing & More Shopping

It’s hard to visit any city and not try to hit the flea market. NYC would be no exception. A visit to the Garage was just what was needed. It’s located in a parking structure, which is kind of odd for this California girl, but I soon got used to the idea and set off to find a few treasures.

I didn’t buy this painting of a woman and sometimes wonder who she went home with. But I did bring home a couple of landscape paintings, a French pharmacy beaker and a antique brass star tree topper that will probably be making it’s debut in the pages of Country Living this year.

Another fun stop (and completely clutter free) was the Japanese store Muji. They have a large selection of paper goods and household items all with very clean, simple designs.

And a visit to Tinsel Trading was fun with it’s signature wall of vintage millinery flowers.

There was also a quick visit to this cute kitchen shop called Whisk. They had a great selection of unique tabletop and kitchenware items. And it’s owned by two locals from Brooklyn which makes it even better in my book.

Well, that’s going to round out the NYC shopping. I’m sure there were other places I’ve forgotten to share or didn’t take photos of (like the Etsy Pop-Up shop!) but for now….

It’s time we move onto the food!
