Backyard Chickens
It’s been a while since I’ve updated you with a few chicken photos, so today’s the day.

This is Frenchie on the left, she lays chocolate-brown eggs…which is the reason we brought her home with us. She was broody last week, but is thankfully over it. We’re waiting for her to start laying again. I miss her lovely eggs. Next to her is Whitey, so named for her white bottom. She lays pretty blue eggs and is the skittish, shy girl in the group.
That’s Ruby 2. Yes, you’re probably guessing right. She’s just as friendly as the original Ruby. And Coco, (in the first photo of the post), likes to lay her eggs inside the roost instead of the nesting boxes. We think she has body image issues and believes she can’t fit in the boxes.
Poor girl. If she only knew she could.
This is Gray Girl. She’s Whitey’s sister and is a bit more adventurous. Her eggs are larger and also a little more green. Her tail feathers are the most perfect shade of gray!
