Recent Styling Work: Texas Ranch
With my bonkers schedule during summer and early fall, I forgot to share with you one of my favorite styling assignments. This Texas ranch house, owned by Susie Clark, had an amazing before & after transformation. You can see more photos, including the before shots (and paint colors) over at Country Living. What she’s done with the place is incredible!
Susie, and her delightful and stylish Mom, Helen, were so much fun to work with. They have both worked in the home furnishings and fabric industries for many years and had impeccable taste. Gorgeous artwork, warm rugs, great linens and textiles….I loved their entire home.
Susie even treated the crew to homemade Blackberry Apple Hand Pies. She’s quite the baker and was the inspiration behind my Ultimate Nut Lovers Granola.
The giant metal “C” was found at a local garden supply center. I love how the peaceful, muted tones and warm textures make this living room so inviting.
The black built-in vanity in the bathroom provided a nice contrast to the hex flooring and white beadboard and trim. The light in this room was perfection.
Susie is able to work from home often, and her desk has a front row view of the grassy Texas fields right outside her window.
And here’s Stella, isn’t she pretty? She and her friend Norman get to call this place home. And although it’s called Lucky Dog Ranch, I believe the horses are pretty lucky as well.
Oh, and before I forget, take a peek at Susie’s super cool barn style garage!
The beautiful images are by Victoria Pearson and a big thanks goes to my assistant on set, Becki Griffin. Who brought her guitar and plucked away as we all sang Happy Birthday to Susie! Such fun memories!
Have a great weekend everyone! Between posts you can usually find me on Instagram…documenting the little things in life.
