DIY Concrete Vanity
When I was designing the studio bathroom, I wanted to create a few interesting elements for the space. Originally, I was going to use an old dresser for the vanity but it just never felt right. I couldn’t find the perfect size dresser, one with clean lines and not too much fuss. So after The Man and I had many lengthy conversations about our options…we decided that making a concrete vanity would be the best fit for my antique marble basin….
I was always inspired by this vanity, and used it as the model for ours.
The exception being that we added a floating salvaged wood shelf for storage.
I couldn’t wait to finally be able to use the basin I’d been holding onto for years!
Here’s an overview of how the concrete vanity was made…
You can click on photos to enlarge.
And one more peek at how it looks today in my studio.
I’m absolutely thrilled when ideas come to fruition. Β And thankful to be married to a man that encourages and helps me in making them happen.
Between posts you can find me on Instagram (heatherbullard) sharing the little things in life.

I love it too! Held onto it for many years, so glad I was finally able to use it!
That is pretty awesome! Thank you for sharing!

Heather…

How sweet! Thank you, Shari!
LOVE this sink! Do you worry about the weight of it at all?
Thanks! And no, not really. The sink is sitting on a solid concrete vanity…which is on a concrete floor. I think everything is secure. π

Heather,
This turned out so well, it seems the perfect match for your marble(?) basin. I hope as time goes by you’ll share more of the details of Grove House. I know it must be wonderful.
