On Being Creative
Hello Everyone! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Seems lately I've been in the business of being busy. Lots of projects and deadlines keeping the creative juices in overdrive. Sometimes I wonder how I get it all done but then my family reminds me that I work constantly. Oh yeah, that's how. As for now I'm in need of a little break. I have to finish up a few things and give my mind some time to rest. I need to recharge my creativity before the well dries up completely. I'm guessing some of you feel this way from time to time as well. 😉
Will be back soon with updates of what's been going on behind the scenes at HB Headquarters. In the meantime I'll be over here tweeting the Cliff Notes version of my daily hum drum happenings if you care to follow along. Cheers! H

I totally know how you feel. I’ve had to give myself bigger and bigger breaks lately or *I* am going to break!
Sometimes we have to take a breather in order to get our ducks in a row to create more.

I am soooo considering doubling my already doubled anti-looney pills!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be sure to get some rest so you don’t burn out. Rest, relax, read, and eat chocolate. That’s my prescription for you.
I completely get it, and then you family reminds you! Lol. Breaks are very inportant to the creative soul! Have a good break! ~lulu
Heather, TAKE the time to breathe, recharge and really SEE the lovely world around you. Sometimes we run on auto-pilot and nobody benefits from that ~ especially us…. and that checked-out-ness can spill over into our family life, as well. Blogland will still be here when you decide to step back in to it! Enjoy the break. xx P&H
feeling the same way…juices are dry! It’s good to take breaks.
I totally understand what you mean! I’m going to Sedona this weekend to take a break as well and hopefully get more inspiration and the energy to do more. Enjoy you break and take care of youself!
P.S. The peonies’ picture is gorgeous!
Enjoy your break

Hi Heather! I am standing up and waving my hand in the air…yes, I too am a girl who never stops. The mind is always in business mode, but I think that happens when you LOVE what you do…and I love visiting your inspiring blog because it’s so easy to see that you LOVE what you do too. Keep creating Mon Amie…Hope your weekend is beautiful ~ xo Joy
Hi Heather–I haven’t stopped by in awhile so I wanted to be sure to say hello 🙂 I can completely relate about the well running dry from so much going on. Take some me time between projects if you can and relax! I had a pedi today and it was the best hour spent in a long time. Love all that you are doing! Congrats!
Hi, beautiful image. I recently did a post about your website and antique french furnishings. Do please drop by My Dream Canvas when you get a chance. Hope you like the post!!
Beautiful photo! I love peonies…We have them in our yard and ever since my daughter was born 2o years ago we started noticing that the first one would bloom on her birthday (give or take 1 or two days) and we have pictures of her by the peonies…every year!
Love your blog!
Heather…I love love your blog! Your photos are stunning! I love all your creativity. I am hosting a new link up party called centerpiece wednesday and would love to have you link up with any of your gorgeous photos! Seriously any of them fit the bill for a gorgeous centerpiece idea. Just link back to the Style Sisters somewhere in the post.
Come on by and see my memorial day table…it is full of fun ideas.
