Rutiz Family Farms Visit
I wanted to share some photos of my visit to Rutiz Family Farms. They're a 30 yr old family farm located in Arroyo Grande that grows pesticide free and organically fertilized, vegetables, berries and flowers. And their farm stand is filled with gorgeous produce!
As you can see their produce selection is stellar. Fresh, homegrown, and harvested at their peak. Click here for the farm stand hours and directions! You can also visit them at the Santa Monica Farmers Market on Wednesdays and rub elbows with celebrity chefs. 😉
Rutiz Family Farms also has a weekly Harvest Box that is overflowing with an assortment of their best selling varieties. Here's a sampling of one of their boxes….
And they have armfulls of fresh cut flowers….
Up next, I'll show you their amazing baked goods and confections! Don't worry, it will be calorie-free for you!

Farmers Markets are just the BEST! The colors of the produce…. the textures…. such eye candy! Still working on trying new veggies.. it’s a struggle for me but I’ll get there! So, do tell…. who have you rubbed elbows with????
Something about loads of pictures from the farmer’s market, I just love them, especially yours! Farmers are struggling with the drought around here, so sad! I try to get to the market often in support of the local farms.
Blue Lake Green Beans!! Those are the best ever!!! Love the photos. What great color and variety!!
Awesome farmstand; great presentation and variety! Love the produce signs/tags, especially the hen! 🙂
If I lived nearby, they would be my one-stop shop! YES… support local farms!!
Hungry now, and not nearly time for lunch! Thankfully, I can head out for a snack from MY garden if I decide to.
Lovely pictures!! Everything looks so fresh and ready to eat! Love your blog! Following you!
Heather,
Wow, I had heard about harvest boxes from Barefoot Contessa but didn’t realize they were available on the West Coast. The produce looks delicious. I’ll keep the name for a visit to the Central Coast.

Oh, the colors are just gorgeous! Love it….
Love that there are local farmers producing organic foods. 30 years is a long time to be in business. I’m sure their food has helped many people improve their health. I want to thank all farmers that continue to practice organic farming. You are helping many people with your health foods.
