One Amazing Kitchen
I cannot get this kitchen out of my mind. Seriously. Can it be any better? I think not. The interior designer is Joan Nemirow and it happens to be her kitchen.
The greenhouse style ceiling was inspired by the soaring glass ceilings at the British Museum in London. Stunning to say the least!
We could talk for hours about the cabinetry, the hardware, the walnut island with teak top, the La Cornue range and custom hood. Every detail is incredible.
I've been pondering starting a collection of copper pots and now, thanks to Joan, the deal has been sealed. I'm on the lookout! If I can't have her kitchen I can at least have her pots. For more kitchen details visit here. Photos by John Bessler.
PS. Isn't this a funny post to follow up my Dollar Store one from yesterday? Just trying to balance the high end with the low end and keep you on your toes!
Have a great weekend friends!

The most beautiful kitchen in the world! I love the coffee and tea
serving area.

I’ve got kitchen envy. I love the old world look of the floors and so much light. Lovely
LOVE this kitchen! And I’d like to have a copper pot collection someday too:)
Love it – I got my first copper pot for Christmas. I have wanted them for years.
Don’t you just LOVE the details of the island? It’s all so beautiful. I’ve been toying with the idea of making a coffee station in a little section of butler’s pantry in my new kitchen. This may push me over the edge to make it happen.
That is a gorgeous kitchen. And thanks to YOU, I am headed to the Dollar Store!

Ooh! Now I have kitchen envy! Beautiful! And the copper is wonderful.
I love that kitchen too! My daughter and her husband have been remodeling their kitchen for the last 8 months and it is almost finished…so, when Christmas rolled around my son in-law thought my daughter should get “kitchen jewelery” for a gift. “Kitchen jewelery” as my son in-law calls it was a set of copper pots and pans. Needless to say, she was thrilled.
Oh gee wiz….love it ! Great ideas in this kitchen, love the doggy station. I like the mix of all the woods, colors and dishes. Just so inviting and a lovely place to eat, visit and cook ~ lets move in!! Love the ceiling too, what a great kitchen !! Love the copper pots too but my mom has a nice collection and oh me they have to be polished huh…. love it. Thanks for sharing!!
It is a wonderful kitchen! I love the doggie spot!
But a picture of your kitchen is on my inspiration file! We have many copper pots that I put away for a while as I was try to declutter (who am I trying to kid)…seems I will have to go unpack clean and hang them!

I want to move in…what a kitchen, can I throw rocks at mine, now AND later???? No..really…it’s a dream kitchen for sure. Love the black cabinet thingy!!
I have a pretty fabulous kitchen but this one has to be the most beautiful kitchen I have ever seen….EVER!!!….my gosh what I would do to be able to cook in such a space…It is magnificent.
And collecting copper is such fun…..I use my pots every day and every time I use them I polish them…..it’s a sickness…
I love my kitchen remodel, but that kitchen creates some serious kitchen envy!

Wonderful kitchen – love it! 🙂
Dang but I’ve got Kitchen Envy going on!
I’m so glad you shared this! I posted this kitchen last week and asked if anyone knew more about it, but didn’t hear anything. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
That ceiling is to die for…love love love this kitchen. Thanks for sharing.
It’s grand, and it’s big! I like the greenhouse ceiling in theory, but I might prefer a lower ceiling for a cozier feeling. Love this for someone else.
This kitchen is beautiful, it must be a real pleasure to cook in it. It reminds me of a house I stayed in on holiday once; they had the kitchen upstairs on a sort of mezzanine level. It seemed odd at first and took some getting used to but the view and the light that was let in through the huge window was lovely and it was clear why they had chosen to situate it there. It was such a pleasure to make the meals in there.
Thanks for sharing this Heather!
I have kitchen on the brain too….and this just makes it more crazy! I love the attention to the small details.

Wow, now that is a kitchen! I love the wood details mixed with the cream cabinets…kitchen envy for me too! And I like your mix of the dollar store with the high end, it keeps it real. Practicality with a dose of dreamy, can’t beat that!
Beautiful pictures. I love copper pots! I get mine at Homegoods.
