Night Walker

Nightcoll
The heat has been soaring in the triple digits for a of couple weeks now and it has turned me into a night walker. Like a nocturnal creature I venture out just as the sun is setting for my evening stroll. As I reach the top of the hill the summer sunset casts its pinkish orange hues and other nights I'm a bit late and I'm greeted by the twinkling lights of the city below.

The neighborhood smells of chlorine filled pools, night blooming jasmine, and the occasional bbq. And you can hear children laughing, pots & pans clanking and tv's blaring through the glowing houses. Occasionaly I'm offered a "Good Evening" from other night walkers or from those out watering the dry patches on their neatly manicured lawns.

Soon it will cool down and I'll return to my morning jaunts but I have to say…my evening walks have been a very relaxing way to end my day.

Evening walks are always nice….I usually take my husband with my in my area… as to keep the creaters from eating me….we live in the hills.

Hi Heather! Beautiful pictures of a warm summer evening in California! I’m born and raised in So. Cal and now living in the Ozarks…I sure do miss the beauty of a west coast sunset! Hey, I wanted to tell you that I just picked up the fabulous Flea Market Style magazine and loved the article about your shopping spree with Ki in Nashville! How fun!! From the antique stores to the cute little hometown diners. Love it all! If you ever decide to do a group/tour shopping trip for gals down south let me know!
