Glass Bottles: Color Inspiration
Photos of glass bottles never grow old to me. Their simplicity and old fashion charm are always in style and their fresh summer colors are sure to inspire a trip to the beach, a new paint color or even the design palette of an entire room.
Which photo is your favorite? Mine is definitely the first one. The wallpaper background is so dreamy and the aqua color of the bottles reminds me of the ocean. My close second would be Martha's…love the random placement of Queen Anne's Lace. Oh, who am I kidding. I love them all!

Definitely the last one, the various shades of blue bottle is very ‘cooling’ to look at ….but secretly I too like them all…
Just can’t go wrong with glass bottles!! I like the second to last photo the best- so refreshing!!
They are all my favorites. I love the old bottles holding the flowers. The colored bottles look so magical in the light.

I love the BHG one…love the ferns and the differant size and shapes of the bottles. Gorgeous.
I like the fourth one down. I am always looking for creative ways to display pictures. I love it!
That’s too funny…I was playing with my vintage bottles today and needed some inspiration…here you are!
If I have to choose I think the ones with the old photos…no the one with them all in the tray…no I think the first one.
I CAN’T CHOOSE!!
the last one–cornflowers are a favorite! great focus on such a simple, classic display element. paige
I agree the first one is perfect. Love old colored glass..wish I had more of it.. I have been painting mason jars lately trying to capture that same look. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.
H~ I really like the one with the white mantel and the oval mirror. Blessings, Kimberly
Stunning simplicity! I love old bottles and now have inspiration to do something with my little collection!
Just gorgeous. Great inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
I love the idea and photo of the bottles with black and white photos inside. Just dreamy

I saw that Martha photo the other day on a blog. She had painted random jars to look like vintage canning jars. It was pretty convincing. Here’s the link. http://www.thesinglenester.com/2011/07/handmade-blue-ball-jars-and-floral.html
I like all the photos. I kind of really like the color palette of #5 with the yellow flowers. Can’t wait to see your new rooms!
I like the first one, but I really love the photos in a bottle one.
So glad I happed on to your blog today! Great stuff!

My favorite is the vintage photos in the bottles. Going to scan in some old photos and try this.
Hi from N Ireland.
I love bottles, especially blue ones. I vote for the first photo. (Although I do love the 3rd one with the ferns.) I might have to re-arrange my collection to give it new life. Thanks Heather!!
a friend just gave me some old jars and jugs
none as pretty as your old blue one. I seen where a lady was using Mod Podge glue and food coloring to color bottles
Janice
seen the new flea market magazine cover over at Margo’s also
My fav is the last one…BLUE!
The transparent ones look very good. They’d look especially beautiful in the season of summer, when the light can easily enter through the glass, giving the contents a touch of brightness that is simply pleasing to the eyes.
It is pretty good. It seems as if you’ve breathed some new life back into those old bottles.
