The Breakfast Room
The breakfast room is one of my favorite rooms in the house. It has 5 large bay windows surrounding it which provide plenty of light and a view of the gardens. The brightly streaming sunshine is one of my favorite things about the room and because of it I like to keep the decor simple, serene and peaceful. For now, I will leave you with photos. I hope you enjoy your visit and find it as relaxing as I do.

Oh, so cheery! I love the colors, especially the blue/green bottles. They contrast nicely with the yellow walls. I’d love to eat breakfast here, and watch the morning unfold.

did you see me sneak in and pull up a chair ???
Just lovely – so many ideas! Ciao, bella!
What an incredibly beautiful room, I love the light in there. Just gorgeous!
What a lovely room, Heather! I do like the lightness you have in here. Your window treatments are wonderful for the bay windows. I am really liking a lighter look to rooms and think that the next house {the down-sized house in a couple of years} will be lighter in feel.
What a sugar dusted confection your dining room is! The dog and the checks keep it in balance 🙂 That little pitcher is adorable too.
So gorgeous!!! Can I ask where you got the roman shades? I have been looking for something like that for my breakfast nook. You did an amazing job!!
Okay, I know this is weird, but I’m so glad there’s some imperfection in your perfect room- the little blue bottles with their hazing/dirt still intact, looks like you just unearthed them and brought them home. Those along with the pellegrino waiting to be drunk and the rusty, chipping shelves, make the room less sterile, and more inviting. Thanks for sharing another beautiful, inspiring space…
oh i sure hope this is a series…tour of heather’s fabulous home!!
i LOVE this. i love your centerpiece of hydrangeas in those gorgeous bottles, love the birdie plates, love the silver.

Beautiful Heather! So refreshing in an old fashion sort of way. Love all of your photos.
Can we please get a peek at your office? I so need inspiration for mine which I will be making over soon. Have already scored some great items from my local thrift stores for it!
Thanks!
It looks great- The window treatments are super…
Oh, Heather . . . what a beautiful space. I just adore your home and style of decor. I wish I could totally replicate everything you create in your home in mine . . . well, maybe NOT everything for fear of seeming like a blog-stalker LOL!!!
Seriously, though, I always enjoy your new posts. A never ending source of inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Perfection. Anticipating the next stage of our tour…..

How absolutely beautiful! I love everything
about the room. It makes me want to throw
everything out and begin fresh but I can’t
afford to do that so I am enjoying getting
wonderful ideas from you, Heather.
Would you tell us what brand and color of
paint you used? It’s such a pretty color.
Becky
So fresh & lovely! I really enjoying your inspirations! My breakfast room is very similar to yours (though mine on a smaller scale) & you have given me some great ideas ~ esp. adding the French baker’s rack. So pretty!

What a beautiful room! What a lovely place to have coffee every morning. I do love the soft whites and bits of color that all combine to make it “simple, serene and peaceful”, perfect words you used to describe the room.
Having such a room to start the day in must help each day’s start a bit smoother.
What a beautiful place for morning coffee and family meals. It’s delicious!
Rhonda

Love, love, love it, Heather! Such a gorgeous room and I adore your styling/photography. Surely your home will be featured in the next issue of FMS?!!
Always love seeing pictures of your beautiful home!! Thank you for sharing!!
Smiles,
Joy~
I am so glad you posted pics of the room, including the floor! This week I am putting down my 16″ porcelain tile floor in my family, in the same sandstone color but my friend who is laying it said I needed dark brown grout. After seeing your light grout, I returned the dark brown for the lighter color and I know I won’t regret it! Instead of yellow, my walls will be a pale celery green with matching faux silk balloon shades from Target’s Simply Shabby Chic.
Thanks again for saving my floor!! 🙂
LilyOake

Heather, I always enjoy seeing your spaces! So, so beautiful.
Hi! I stumbled across your blog from MishMash. I love all the brightness and natural light in your breakfast area. We just bought a home in the country and our breakfast room has a lot of natural lighting too and we have a view of large pecan trees and Deer that roam free. Cannot wait to get totally moved in. Where did you get your valances for your windows in your breakfast area? Thanks.
Oh Heather! Your home is so beautiful! I just love seeing the pictures. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
~Liz
I love love love the hydrangeas in bottles, I have them all over my house right now too. I’m sipping my coffee at my computer right now but wish I was drinking in that lovely breakfast room.
cheers, Lisa
