Antiques Week Part Three: Neutrals
For my final Antiques Week post I bring you Neutrals. Creamy whites, warm browns, ivory and alabaster can be seen in practically every single vignette. Here are a few that caught my eye.
This beautiful bedding below is designed by Judy Hill. She is an absolutely charming southern woman with that trademark Texas accent. Her booth is always impeccable and her style is both elegant and casual. I bought a pretty ruffled slipcover from her for one of my chairs. Love, love!
I love the pale gray color on this potting bench and the adorable cubby in the next photo. I believe they were from Shelly's booth who I mentioned in my last post.
I would have happily brought home each and every one of these dishes but I had to stop somewhere. Plus it will give me reason to go back. Any excuse right?
And I don't know why I didn't ask how much these English street signs were. They're pretty cool and would look great in a kitchen. Or on a street. But I think that's been done before. 😉
And there were cubbies of every shape and size available too. I can't count how many chicken nesting boxes I saw. Really, a LOT of nesting boxes. Funny, but before I had chickens I probably wouldn't have know they were nesting boxes. Because I've been a City Slicker for most of my life. Not any more. The great display below is from Tricia of Red Door Antiques.
Well, that's the end of my Antiques Week tour. If you still can't get enough of great looking junk you can see more from Holly who did a few posts on her shopping trip and Theresa who happens to be the Queen of Texas Show Information. Thanks so much for coming along with me!

Love the transferware! I wonder if the browns and whites/creams are my favorite because they are neutral. I also love the white ceramics, dishes, pitchers ~ they just seem to make greenery pop and it give such a fresh, crips, clean and classic look.
I’m definitely having ironstone and transferware envy! Can’t wait to see what you came home with. 😉
Hi Heather. I had to laugh at your nesting box comment. We have chickens too….hundreds…and boy do they love their nesting boxes. I would love to use them to decorate with but in actuality they are covered with….yucky poop! hahahaha…I do eye them though…if the chickens only knew!
Have a blessed day!
Debbie

Heather, this would be nirvana for me! How do you even begin deciding what to buy? Thank you for taking me on this “spree” with you….your pictures are really lovely and I felt like I was there. I can think of a lot of great uses for “cubbies.” Hmm, have to start looking….
Heather, thanks again for including me in a second post. Yes the plant stand and cubbies were mine. You take such beautiful pics.
Hugs,
Shelley

Thank you! Your post, the pictures, all of it. Thanks especially for that shot of our friend Susan Wheeler’s (and I knew it was hers before I got to the credit!) booth in your color post ’cause she doesn’t bring a camera! As you may well know. Your blog is beautiful. Almost as good as being there. Almost.
Really gorgeous pictures. All of that fabulous stuff in one place, what a dream!

Thanks for sharing, Heather! Was nice to look at the last three posts and relax a bit … Kinda like going without the travelling and having to decide which pieces I needed … er …. wanted …! Can hardly wait to see your purchases, and hope you don’t have too much separation anxiety with your own goodies come spring show!
Hugs!
Betty 🙂

I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed meeting you in person at the Rachell Ashwell event held at Vignettes! You are such a beautiful person inside and out!!!
I’m so glad I was able to share the story of how your blog played the part in bringing my sister and I back together!
I hope to be able to see you again in the near future.

It’s me again….
I forgot to thank you for purchasing a pair of my vintage inspired cross earrings which were being sold at Vignettes! I hope you are enjoying them!!!
Debby
Thank you! I felt like I was there!
My favorite of the series – love the white.
Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos. Looks like a wonderful place to shop. So many incredible things. Love all thre vignettes.
what a fantastic collection! Brings back very found memories of my growing up days on farms and ranches. I love my life then. riding horses, training horses. Milking two cows every day, 2x a day! Collecting the eggs and using the old separator to get the cream from the (blue john) skimmed milk. LOL! We changed hugs long sprinkler systems AM and Pm also. Kids were workers all most every day except during school. Sometimes I think I want to retire back on a mini farm. hmmmm
Heather! Anything with drawers, lots of drawers or cubbies. I was fortunate many years ago, my goodness, 20 years ago!!! Someone gave me a section from an old post office…solid wood, very heavy. I use it in my craft room. It has gone from South Dakota to Germany to England and back! All your pictures are fabulous and I really like the paper wreath!!! Thanks, debbie
Wow! WHat wonderful treasures! Everything is so romantic and nostalgic!
Wow, so many great things. I could spend so much money there!!
