Saint Honore Boulangerie
We happened upon the most charming boulangerie located one block from our hotel. What a nice surprise! How can anyone resist not stopping in for a latte or cappucino? Mine had their signature heart swirl and The Man made his a Tic Tac Toe game.
Now, let's talk about the floors, the rattan chairs, the wood oven, the heavy wooden beamed ceiling, the sales counter……
the baguettes standing at attention in gorgeous baskets, the wall sconces on the mirrors, the enormous floor to ceiling bread display….
the hand made artisan breads in all shapes and sizes, the darling pots of Bon Maman jams….
and their scrumptious looking pastries of which we had none. Yes, none. But if I were to have had one it would be one of these Tarte au Citron, yummy no?
We finished our lattes and headed off for our next adventure. Please, if you live anywhere near this place make it a point to visit. You will not be disappointed. Saint Honore Boulangerie is located at 2335 NW Thurman St., Portland, Oregon. Just go ahead and add it to your navigation now. Your car will take you right to it!

Uhm – that is really weird b/c this place is literally about 1 block from where I work here in Portland. Anyway – I am SO glad that you checked this place out as it is one of my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE Portland spots and I always take people there when they come to visit. I hope you are enjoying your stay and this amazing weather!!!

Oh my, that sounds like a wonderful place to visit! I wish I were there now!
Oh, Heather, they also have one in Lake Oswego (closer to me…) and it’s my absolute favorite!!! Their petits pains au chocolat are little bites of heaven!! And those little pots of Bonne Maman bring back memories… They serve them all over European hotels for breakfast!!

What a pretty little spot. We have a wonderful local coffee shop that is similar. The breads and desserts and amazing but it’s fun to just sit and look around too.
Hope you’re having fun and restful moments. Blessings.. Polly
Great pics!
I’ve been fortunate to visit France- Paris is my fave city in the entire world (followed by our own Chicago here in the US Of A.) If I had not known you were going to be in Portland, I’d have sworn you were on a local backstreet in the heart of Paris- amazing shoppe!
How yummy! I wish I could have one right know, and by one I mean one of everything!
Great photos, Heather!!! We just got back from The Cape and loved it. I have been thinking that Oregon would be a great choice for next year…it might have to be sooner after those photos. I don’t know what kind of will power you have to resist lemon tartes!!!!
What are the chances of having one of those tarts shipped to Kansas? Curious minds need to know! I think I died and went to heaven looking at your pictures….thought I was in Paris! (I’ve actually never been to Paris!) Have a great time!
I honestly thought that this was in Paris!!!! Amazing!
I am just so delighted each time I visit you. The owrds, the photos…just made me sigh with delight. I hope to finally make it tp Paris next year, but, until then, seeing this post gave me joy!
I guess I shouls also add that I wish I had known about this special place when we were in Portland!! What a treat! But it did make me long for Paris…
the place looks great. perfectly charming
LOOOOVe St Honore! SO happy you had such a lovely visit to PDX! I wish I would have known you were coming…I would have suggested we visit! 🙂
Gorgeous !
Wow! Wouldn’t I love to be in Portland at your boulangerie with a cup of latte right now. Heavenly!
That is sooo not fair! I lived near Venice for a few months and had cappuccino quite often, and it looked just like that. I’ve never, ever been able to find it in the US. Over there, it was like the most decadent dessert. I don’t know what they did…. but it was divine.
Heather I have been there several times and it is fabulous. Every time I go to NW 23rd it is a must to sneak over there, and if I am too full I bring desert home.
Your photos make me want to pack my bags and head straight for Portland! As usual, your pictures are captivating! Thank you for sharing.
Hello, I’m leaving a comment for you because you have a great site here – I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts and your pictures are great !

Wow. That’s all I can say. I just found your blog and have spent the past 2 hours reading the archives, with a stop in your lovely shop…to shop. I’m in head over heels and can’t wait for my purchases!
Oh Yum!
You know how I love my coffee:)
Kyle is up at college…got home late last night.
Have a safe trip home,

Oh I lived a few blocks away from there – NW 24 & Overton. How I miss that area so much. Incidentally I live in Riverside now myself, too. I actually received a piece of your mail by accident & had them re-assign & that’s how I became familiar with your website & offerings. 🙂
Oh, I just discovered your blog (Beth of Beth’s Take on Life recommended I visit you) and I could move right in! Your photos convey such a wonderful mood – it speaks to my soul! I’ll be back very often to visit!! 🙂 Silke
Now I want some bread of course!!
What a charming place. A nice surprise to discover.

How lucky can you get!!! My friend Ann lived in Paris for 8 years – she’s a lucky lady too….Jennifer
You are killing me with those photos! I could live with only bread butter and jam. (OK and some cheese. And ham)
