Easter Favors

Efav2     Rather than bore you with the mundane tasks of my recent days (which includes getting my taxes done and working in my garden like a mad woman) I thought it better to share with you these quick, inexpensive and easy Easter favors I made.

Here are my supplies:

Efav4_edited-2     Assorted candies, rafia, rubber bands, cellophane bags, seam binding and chocolate bunnies from the drug store. Now you all know how much I love, love, love to repackage and that's exactly what I did.

Efav1     And here are the simplest instructions on earth:

  • Slip bunny into cellophane bag
  • Drop in a few extra candies
  • Secure with rubber band
  • Tie with a piece of rafia
  • Adorn with a few pieces of ribbon

From there I just lined a tiered basket with moss, (noticed I didn't have enough and had to use two different kinds, no worries) added a couple flower pots filled with candy and flowers, a garden tool and a few tiny chick-a-dees. Voila! All finished and ready to place near the door for visitors! Hope your holiday plans are shaping up nicely. If any of you have posted Easter goodies I'd love to know so I can stop by for a visit.

    You are right, those little bunnies looks so much nicer pacakged like you have them then if they were in the ugly little boxes they come in. Looks like you spent way more money on them too.

    Nice! Repackaging is a fun, creative way to make an inexpensive gift special. Speaking of inexpensive, I created little Easter basket favors with peat pots, hemp cord, pipe cleaners, and tiny copies of vintage postcards. Fun.

    I buy my bags in bulk but have seen similar ones at craft stores, Target and party supply stores. During the holidays you can find them printed with cute designs!

    They are lovley Heather, I will remember that for next easter I did the chocolate easter nest this year with chocolate eggs covered in candy.
    It was for my son to take to school & I forgot to take pictures how bad is that.

    What a beautiful coop!! I,ah we just built our first coop, actually WE hired our friend who is a home builder to build a very simple coop that would look more like a dog house than a chicken coop. anyway, I love your coop and that beautiful copula on top and Italian plaque finish it off so nicely. Bravo! Your chickens are so lucky to have such a beautiful coop.
